As I journey through life, I aim to become wiser and happier with each passing year. Wisdom, I’ve learned, comes from viewing problems and situations through fresh perspectives and continuously acquiring new knowledge. Books are a wonderful source of this wisdom, whether we are reading them or writing them, the latter presenting the unique challenge of capturing readers' imaginations.

My desire is to share the insights and values that have brought me wisdom and happiness with future generations, including my own children and grandchildren, as well as yours. This motivation led me to write two children's books.

The first, "Hornwell Honeypicker The Flying Pig," centers on being kind to oneself in difficult situations. This adventure story about friendship and overcoming fear introduces readers to the enchanting world of a young boy and a flying pig named Hornwell. If you're a young person dealing with bullies, Hornwell's adventures can offer guidance and support.

The second book, "How Do I Get Smarter… and Happier?" focuses on gaining emotional intelligence. Life is filled with challenges, but wisdom provides solutions when we are open to it. In this story, an inquisitive young boy and Hornwell seek answers from a wise old man, learning to view problems in new and enlightening ways. The lessons within could have brought me greater happiness had I learned them earlier, and I believe they can do the same for you and your children.

My wife, Carol, and I reside in beautiful Sonoma, CA. You can often find me playing with my grandchildren, tending to my garden, cycling, hiking, or enjoying a game of Petanque. I am also committed to environmental work, community service through Rotary, and, of course, writing.
